For a long time my wife thought that she wanted to open her own private audiology clinic. It wasn’t until she worked in a one person private practice that she realized just how difficult it can be to keep a business a float. She said she would worry day and night that she would end up needing something like medical bankruptcy help because of the cost of doing business. I told her she likely wouldn’t need a medical bankruptcy but that just plain old bankruptcy was a genuine possibility. So many people like the idea of owning their own business, but just don’t have sound skills to run a business. In the end she decided to put off the idea of having her own practice and is content with working for someone else.
