Is it just me or do people seem to be getting more mentally ill? It seems like you never know when someone is going to go off the deep end and pull a gun. It seems to be happening more and more in the workplace. I have a colleague that just plain makes me nervous. I am not talking about someone who is so anal you wish they would get some colon cleansing pills. What I mean is a guy who is just beyond understanding in terms of his social skills and the comments that come out of his mouth. This guy has no qualms about saying offensive things in the middle of staff meetings and disregarding office policies. He refuses to participate in office events like birthday celebrations or for the holidays. When he needs to say something to people he sends emails despite sitting right next the person he needs to talk to. I am just hoping he decides to go back into retirement quickly and leaves the office without incident.
